Dr. Nagda is a Partner in our health practice and serves as the Clinical Services Leader, based in New York. A seasoned physician executive and consultant, Dr. Nagda brings years of experience managing and advising large employers on total human capital management including benefit, network design, and wellness strategies integrated with productivity impact. She is the national clinical leader for high value care, which includes high performance network, advanced primary care, onsite/ worksite clinic, centers of excellence, cancer care and virtual care solutions, helping clients of all sizes identify the optimal solution. In her current role, Dr. Nagda assists employers with a diverse range of initiatives to move from volume to value while maximizing member experience. She has significant expertise in the field of high value care solutions leveraging clinical informatics and SDoH to drive engagement. Dr. Nagda leads Mercer’s corporate medical director roundtable of her peers.
Prior to joining Mercer, Dr. Nagda was at UPMC where she served as a corporate Medical Director for their 150,000 employees. She led an integrated strategy to impact the medical trend and absenteeism. She leveraged the over 25 employee health clinics to deploy relevant solutions depending on employees’ health and risk profile. She also served as Medical Director over disability and workers compensation. Dr. Nagda worked through the health system to build payer-provider partnerships to form an ACO and a ground up musculoskeletal COE design.
Dr. Nagda also has led clinical teams at Emblem Health with over 3 million members, Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid. She also worked with their PCP offices to transfer them to advanced primary care and help create metrics to impact specialty referral patterns. While at EY, she served as a clinical thought leader for their several large carrier and provider clients. She has led initiatives including clinical informatics and micro-segmentation, population health augmented with social determinants of health, member engagement via care management and wellness programs. Altogether, she has over 15 years of overall health industry experience.
