Healthy relationships are a key component of #EmployeeWellbeing. With the newest Grokker Guide, you can help your employees learn practical skills for developing more meaningful relationships. Led by psychologist Dr. Vicki Uwannah, this three-week course includes live sessions and daily lessons. Attendees will focus on one relationship — it could be a friend, romantic partner, or relative — and get actionable tips for improving that connection. Then, they can apply what they’ve learned to deepen their other relationships. Grokker Guides are evidence-based programs that make mental health tools accessible to your workforce. Yesterday one of Grokker’s long-time employees, Jim Ambach, retired. It was a bittersweet moment for me and everyone here at Grokker who has had the privilege of working with Jim over the past ten years. Tuesday through Thursday (our in-person days) you could count on seeing Jim bright and early in the office, clad in Adidas sneakers and a button-down, with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a dad joke to share. As CTO and more recently leading our Security and R&D efforts, Jim led our Product, Engineering, and Design teams with equal measures of intelligence, tenacity, and empathy. Jim’s wealth of broad-based knowledge made him a “go-to” on everything from AI to the Washington Commanders. Though we’d all collectively groan when he spoke about that latter. Despite his questionable taste in football teams and sandwich purveyors, I know I can speak for not just his team but the Grokker team at large when I say he will be sorely missed. Jim, thank you for all your hard work, honesty, positivity, and for living each of Grokker’s core values — making work fun, giving the team the freedom to express themselves and share ideas, knowing that results truly do matter, believing that work is personal, and always putting our members at the center of the Grokkerverse. Congratulations on your graduation from Grokker! We wish you all the best and hope to see you soon and often.

#WorkplaceStress is a huge problem for employees. Whether they’re stressing about a big project, an upcoming review, or an uncertain economy, anxiety affects their wellbeing, productivity, loyalty, and job satisfaction. Here are a few tips you can implement today to help them manage their stress: 💡Remind employees that it’s important to take small breaks throughout the day. Taking a stretch break, watching a short video with wellness tips, or stepping outside to get some sunshine can be an instant mood boost. 💡Encourage time off. With the summer approaching, encourage everyone to get away from the office for a bit. Even if they don’t take a formal vacation, they can spend a few days decompressing at home, working in the garden, visiting museums, or checking out a local spa. 💡Recognize their hard work. You don’t have to wait until the next review cycle or quarterly department meeting to recognize your employees' hard work. You can tell them that they did well in a meeting or put together a good report on any day. Workplace stress is unavoidable to some extent. But with a proactive approach, you can create a healthier, more supportive, and less stressful work environment. #NationalStressAwarenessMonth #EmployeeWellbeing

Many companies offer #EmployeeWellbeing resources, but their workers often don’t feel comfortable using them at work. Taking a stretch break during lunch or watching a 5-minute meditation video can go a long way toward reducing stress. Are your employees aware that they can take advantage of your wellbeing resources during the workday? Since it’s #NationalStressAwarenessMonth, it’s a great time to remind your team that they can. When you encourage self-care, you see the benefits in your workforce. What are some ways you encourage self-care with your team? #selfcare #employeewellness

I had a great time last week on Live in the Bay. Olivia Horton and I chatted about the very personal journey that led me to building Grokker and the amazing things we’re doing to boost global #WorkplaceWellbeing. Watch to find out: - How professional burnout led me to create Grokker - Why it’s essential for employers to address #EmployeeWellbeing head-on - Why video is the most effective way to reach people today - the secret to squeezing in a bit of self-care throughout the day I also share why I get misty-eyed hearing from our members every week. Check out the clip to see the full conversation. And thanks to Live at the Bay for allowing me to spread the word about why wellbeing is so important. https://lnkd.in/gehAJC5B
