Danielle R. Shanes is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Benefits & Wellbeing at the NBA, where she drives the benefits, wellbeing and mobility strategy with an emphasis on employee engagement. She is also responsible for the collectively bargained benefits for players, referees and coaches. Danielle is a member of the NBA’s Dream in Color, Pride and Women’s Network Employee Resource Teams.

Danielle is a board member for the Northeast Business Group on Health, Chair of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Investment Committee; a member of the Steering Committee for the Path Forward on Mental Health and Substance Use; and a member of the Steering Committee for Women Fighting Hunger, an initiative of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
