Kia serves on the board of the Charlotte Ballet in North Carolina. Kia earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, a Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College, and a Masters of Public Health from St. Louis University. She is board certified by the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Occupational Medicine.
