Dr. Jeff Ottmers serves as Executive Director of Aetna Commercial Clinical Management and Chief Medical Officer for Aetna Student Health, leading teams focused on precertification, utilization management, and account support. He brings extensive experience partnering with health systems and plan sponsors to translate complex data into actionable strategies that improve outcomes and member experience. Prior to Aetna, Dr. Ottmers practiced emergency medicine and held medical director and risk management roles in urgent care, and he earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.

Jeff is passionate about his family, sports, and the outdoors. He loves to golf, ranch raising exotics and whitetails.

He owns an Express Tunnel Car Wash franchise.
