Dr. Cara Pensabene is Mastercard’s Global Medical Director, serving as the primary medical advisor to the organization and supporting their employees’ health and wellbeing. She joined Mastercard in 2021 and sits on the Benefits & Well-being team at Mastercard within People & Capability (aka HR).
Dr. Cara has fifteen years of clinical experience in internal medicine, primary care, and telemedicine. She also has corporate leadership experience in health initiatives such as prevention, women’s health, lifestyle medicine, mental wellbeing and occupational health and wellness.
Dr. Cara is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American College of Lifestyle Medicine and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association Eastern States Region & Westchester/Fairfield counties. She earned her MD from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at SUNY at Stonybrook University Medical Center. Dr. Cara lives in Westchester County with her husband and 3 young children.
