Edmund Chung, MD, FASGE is the Senior Director, Medical Affairs for the Endoscopy Division at Boston Scientific. Dr. Chung’s primary role is leading the Medical Safety and Clinical Safety groups for the Endoscopy division. He is also actively involved in clinical strategy, trial design and implementation, publications, medical monitoring, regulatory interactions, KOL engagement, investigator sponsored research, and safety evaluations. Dr. Chung graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University with Honors in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Digestive Diseases (gastroenterology) at Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Chung has over 19 years of clinical practice experience in gastroenterology including biliary endoscopy and other advanced endoscopic procedures. He was a teaching Attending and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter School of Medicine. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, he was President/Medical Director of Middlesex Endoscopy Center, and a partner in Middlesex Gastroenterology Associates. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a member of the Association for Bariatric Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
