Dr. Gorrindo is the Chief Medical Officer for Optum Behavioral Care, a national behavioral health care delivery system which provides over 3 million patient visits annually. He oversees virtual and in-person care provided by over 4000 clinicians in all 50 states. Through Optum’s commitment to expanding access to innovative and value-based models of behavioral health care, he is leading system transformation in over 300 behavioral health clinics, primary care offices, and across numerous virtual platforms. He is a national expert in behavioral health care transformation, particularly as related to value-based care, the Collaborative Care Model, and interprofessional care of those with serious mental illness. Dr. Gorrindo has served on numerous national committees, has authored over two dozen peer-reviewed papers, and has given over a hundred national and international presentations. Dr Gorrindo completed his clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and he is a practicing, board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist in Washington, DC.
